FLORESTA FARM

Tradition and Vanguard in the Production of Rare and Surprising Coffees

Located in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, in the Mantiqueira de Minas region.

With a centuries-old tradition in the production of quality coffees, Mantiqueira de Minas is today one of the most awarded regions in Brazil.

The producer of this farm comes from a family with deep roots in the coffee business. They represents the 5th generation of the family who work with coffee in the south of Minas Gerais. This family started harvesting coffee at the beginning of the coffee business in the region, more than a century ago, when dry beans were transported in donkeys and mules or bull carts.

Back at the beginning of the farm, there was no concern about the quality of the beans. Nobody knew about scores. The only thing that mattered was the volume of production, a rule that persisted until the gates of the 21st century in Brazil.

Over ten years ago the producers decided to invest in the production of Specialty Coffees and in improving the structure of the farm, buying new machines and investing in renovated facilities.
