MANTIQUEIRA

The region has a centuries-old tradition in the production of quality coffee.

Located on the mining side of Serra da Mantiqueira, in the south of Minas Gerais. It is a mountainous region (900 to 1500 meters) without mechanization, naturally fertile soils, a mild climate with excellent rainfall.

Coffee characteristics:

Washed Milds – citrus and floral notes, creamy and dense body, citric acidity with high medium intensity, high sweetness, long finish.

Natural – citrus, floral, fruity, creamy and dense body, medium-high acidity, high sweetness.

FLORESTA FARM

Tradition and Vanguard in the Production of Rare and Surprising Coffees.

Located in the “Serra da Mantiqueira”, in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, is the Mantiqueira de Minas region. With a centuries-old tradition in the production of quality coffees, Mantiqueira de Minas is today one of the most awarded regions in Brazil.
Guilherme comes from a family with deep roots in the coffee business. He represents the 5th generation of Alckmins who work with coffee in the south of Minas Gerais. This family started harvesting coffee at the beginning of the coffee business in the region, more than a century ago, when dry beans were transported in donkeys and mules or bull carts.

Floresta farm was initially owned by Guilherme’s great-uncle.

At that time, there was no concern about the quality of the beans. Nobody knew about scores. The only thing that mattered was the volume of production, a rule that persisted until the gates of the 21st century in Brazil.
Guilherme bought his brothers’ share 11 years ago and became the sole owner of Floresta farm. That was when he decided to invest in the production of Special Coffees and in improving the structure of the farm, buying new machines and investing in renovated facilities.
